1. The Radiant Sun
The sun behind the ankh symbolizes the power imbued in the piece by Ra himself.
2. Radiant Geometry
Lines shoot from the center outward, across the piece, symbolizing the radiant energy of the sun.
3. The Lotus
The ends are capped with the symbol of the lotus. The lotus flower was a prominent symbol in Egyptian mythology that symbolized creation—which Ra was the father of.

Symbolism: Rear
1. The Artistic Sun
The rear-side of the sun was inspired by the interpretation of the sun seen in Egyptian temple art.
2. Eye of Ra
The eye's falling teardrop represents the willingness and determination it requires to be a strong leader and the sacrifice necessary to create.
3. The Roots
The rear-side has symbols of roots, that represent the undergrowth of the Lotus flowers ontop.
